LANGUAGE AND CULTURAL ENGAGEMENT @ UM

ABOUT THIS PROGRAMME

This comprehensive English Language and Cultural Immersion module offers participants an in-depth experience in developing practical English communication skills alongside meaningful cross-cultural understanding within a Malaysian context. Through a combination of interactive language sessions, experiential learning activities, cultural workshops, and site visits, participants will strengthen their ability to communicate effectively in academic, social, and professional settings. The programme is designed to encourage active engagement, intercultural exchange, and collaborative learning among participants from diverse international backgrounds. By the end of the module, participants will have developed greater confidence in using English for real-world communication, including presentations, discussions, and everyday interactions. They will also gain valuable exposure to Malaysian culture and global perspectives, enhancing their intercultural awareness, adaptability, and communication skills in international environments.


PROGRAMME FEES

Application Fee: USD50

The program fee upon selection is USD1,950 which includes:

Exclusion:
Flight tickets, travel and medical insurance, and living costs are to be borne by the students. Proof of purchase is required for travel insurance.


MINIMUM PARTICIPANTS

A minimum of 20 students is required for the programme to commence.
